The Passionate Brontës
This is our most popular guided tour and it is an excellent prelude to visiting the Parsonage Museum. It takes in the top of the village and the key Brontë sites.
It tells the story of the family and uses their letters, diaries, poems and writing to weave their lives into the fabric of the village and the social history of the times.
If you are a Brontë fan, or if you are just discovering this story for the first time, there is something for you in this tour.
The Tour
The open timetabled tours last around ninety minutes and we don’t walk very far, no more than the top of the village.
They begin on the steps of St Michael and All Angels Church, right by the Visitor Information Centre and end in the Church itself.
This is a living Church as well as a major tourist destination and occasionally it will be closed for worship, celebration and acts of remembrance. At such times, there will be another venue available to us.
The costs
Adult tickets are £7.50 each.
Child tickets are available for the nine to twelve year olds and are £3.00 each.
We do offer family tickets and these include two adults and three children for £20.00.
The Parsonage does offer a £1 discount on entry to the museum with your ticket, but only if it is used with their full price entry.
